Double-Click Mode in GS Auto Clicker: Use It Instead of a 1 ms Interval
Need double-clicks — opening files, selecting words, in-game actions that expect them? GS Auto Clicker has a native double-click type, and using it is both more reliable and less suspicious-looking than the common hack of firing two single clicks 1 ms apart.
Turn on double-click mode
- Open Options → Clicking → Options.
- Under click type, choose Double (instead of Single).
- Choose the mouse button as usual (left is typical), set your interval in Clicking → Repeat, and start with F8.
That is the whole setup — the program now issues a real double-click event at each cycle. Step-by-step context: the complete guide.
Native double-click vs the 1 ms trick
| Double-click mode | Two singles at 1 ms | |
|---|---|---|
| What the target sees | One double-click event, like a fast human | Two separate clicks it may treat as singles anyway |
| Reliability | Consistent | Depends on the app’s own double-click threshold; often flaky |
| Resource use | One event per cycle | Double the input flood — see interval guide |
When single clicks are still right
- Games that count raw clicks (clicker games) want singles at a steady interval.
- UI chains in Multiple Clicks are usually single-click affairs.
- If a target needs “click and hold” or drag, GS Auto Clicker is the wrong tool entirely — that is macro territory (AutoHotkey).
Troubleshooting
If double-clicks register as two singles in one specific app, that app likely uses its own timing; lengthen the cycle interval and test again. If nothing clicks at all in a game, it is the privileges issue, not the click type — not clicking in game.
