GS Auto Clicker Won’t Open on Windows 11? Work Through These Causes

Nothing happens when you run it — or it flashes and vanishes. GS Auto Clicker is a tiny 2016-era program; when it “won’t open” on Windows 11, the cause is almost always Windows protecting you (sometimes correctly) or a bad copy. Work down this list.

1. The file is blocked or was quarantined

  • Check your antivirus quarantine/history: heuristic tools sometimes silently quarantine small clickers (how to judge the detection). If the genuine, hash-verified file was quarantined, restore it and add a per-file exclusion.
  • Right-click the exe → Properties: if an Unblock checkbox appears at the bottom, check it and Apply.

2. You are looking at SmartScreen, not a failure

If a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen appeared and you closed it, the program was never allowed to start. Verify the hash, then use More info → Run anyway: step by step.

3. The copy is damaged or fake

Re-download from the developer’s channel on our download page and verify: 867,241 bytes, SHA-256 7c90795c…. Copies from “4.0”/mod sites fail in arbitrary ways — there is no 4.0 — and a mismatched hash means stop here and scan.

4. It is running — in the tray

GS Auto Clicker minimizes to the system tray. If the window seems to vanish, check the tray overflow (the ^ arrow near the clock) and Task Manager for the process before concluding it crashed.

5. Compatibility settings

Right-click the exe → Properties → Compatibility: try Windows 7 compatibility mode and “Run as administrator” on stubborn machines. The program predates Windows 11 by years; these legacy shims exist for exactly this case. Context: GS on Windows 11, honestly.

6. Still nothing

Test on a second user account or machine if available; check Event Viewer → Windows Logs → Application for a crash entry at the launch time. A crash on a hash-verified copy on a healthy Windows install is rare — if you hit it, tell us the details via contact so we can document it.
